‘I wanted to reiterate what I’ve said in person about S enjoying Dorothy Stringer Playgroup so much. She also attends another childcare setting (due to working hours not lining up with Playgroup hours every day) and she’s always delighted when it’s a Playgroup day!  As a working Mum, it’s such a relief to be sending her to a setting that she loves and in which I have absolute confidence.

Both she and I are always welcomed warmly by staff who are unfailingly cheerful and enthusiastic. S has also reported to me that the ‘grown ups’ are very kind to her if she has any issues and I was very grateful that we were all treated so kindly when I was in hospital earlier this year.

I’ve never had reason to complain about anything or raise any concerns but feel confident that Gill or any of the staff would deal sensitively and properly with any problems.

I love that parents are regularly invited in to give little talks to the children or to help out or do craft afternoons. This gives us the chance to get to know the other children and feel integrated into the Playgroup ‘community’.

I love the regular Tapestry updates and am grateful to the staff for their diligence in keeping us parents up-to-date and involved.

I regret that S did not start at Dorothy Stringer Playgroup sooner as she will only have had one year there by the time she starts school. That year will have prepared her extremely well for school and given her a very positive early learning experience.’
